About Thomson’s Falls
Thomson’s Falls Nyahururu travel guide
Thomson’s Falls is one of Nyahururu’s best-known scenic attractions, where the Ewaso Narok River drops approximately 74 metres into a forested gorge. The upper viewpoints are accessible for most visitors, while the path toward the lower gorge is steeper and can become slippery in wet conditions.
How to include Thomson’s Falls
The falls provide a scenic contrast to wildlife-focused safari days. Euclea includes them on Day 2 of the 3 Day Solio Game Reserve Safari, combining a rhino conservation experience with highland scenery and photography.
You can also combine Nyahururu with the wider Laikipia Plateau or ask us to add it to a custom central Kenya itinerary through Plan My Safari.
Visitor note
Weather affects trail conditions. Guests should use designated viewpoints and follow local safety guidance, especially after rain.
