About Wildebeest Migration
Wildebeest Migration safaris in Kenya
The Wildebeest Migration is one of East Africa’s best-known wildlife movements, connecting the Serengeti and the Maasai Mara National Reserve within one larger ecosystem. In Kenya, July to October is commonly associated with migration activity in the Mara, but exact herd locations and river crossings depend on rainfall and natural movement.
Euclea does not promise a river crossing on a particular date. A well-planned migration safari instead gives enough time in the Mara, uses current local information and treats the reserve’s excellent resident wildlife as part of the experience rather than focusing on one event.
Choosing a migration itinerary
Several of Euclea’s current packages spend two or more days in the Maasai Mara and therefore fit naturally into this experience collection. Longer Kenya circuits can combine the Mara with Amboseli, Lake Nakuru, Lake Naivasha, Samburu or Ol Pejeta before or after the migration-focused section.

Migration timing changes from year to year. July–October is a planning guide rather than a guarantee. Accommodation in key Mara areas can sell out early during peak months, so availability should be confirmed before flights or non-refundable arrangements are finalised.
